Insanely jealous you got to see Spirited Away live!!!
Missing HM04 sending me. 😂😂 This whole episode was a side quest for the Kings Rock with multiple hurdles in the way.
In order to get into the other two parts of the ruins, you'll need to go thru Union Cave and take the basement path. Huge Aerodactyl incoming. It does take a while, so maybe come back after the next badges to check. I don't remember if it's 6 or 7 badges to have it revived
It is not worth feeding the Miltank. Even after it's cured you can only buy one Milk per day. It's not like in HGSS where you heal and then can buy them by the dozen over and over.
Yeah that's what I thought. Plus can you really see me collecting fricking berries to give that thing?
Holy cow the team is really shaping up. Excited to see what other Pokémon end up joining the team. The most tanky team I've ever seen. I will say I'm excited to see how you handle Chuck and Jasmine.
I actually have no idea what to expect. I remember finding both tough as a child but then afterwards not remembering why. With how Witney was I'm really intrigued.
I miss these days
Still love these videos
Shakespear evolved, we beat down Morty, got to Olivine and caught a Shuckle!? Damn we're cruising now. I am also on the same opinion on the whole rocket take over segment. There's 5 locations iirc where you need to go for it. It's mental.
Yes it really drags. Which is a shame because I actually like the balance of sub-story/champion story in this gen. I just wish they hadn't backloaded the Rocket stuff so hard.
He finally found the two Pokémon I was hoping for. Houndour early, and Misdreavus early. Larvitar in Dark cave also btw. That nickname 😂, I can't. Bad Weave.
I was so excited by this. It really feels like how it should have been tbh.
Various members of my family have been known to eat weetabix dry and have 3 at one time
That is scary. That is actually a scary prospect.
Actually Joey Chestnut is a hot dog eating champion, the US has a competition each 4th of July and he’s held the record for years - he’s a real person from California
Oh wow so like an actual celebrity eating champion, that's crazy.
Harry reading the green ~Facepalm~ I'm with ya on that feeling of I want the atmosphere of the game, but don't actually want to hit the ball and keep score. If it's a cool day out, walking the course is so nice.
Exactly this. Go out walk the course with the buddies, head back to the club for lunch and a few drinks.
Listen that first puzzle was overcomplicated for no reason
I shouldn't talk. I almost didn't make it off the train in Pandora's Box because of the sliding luggage puzzle.
Finally defeated Whitney 🙌🏻. Also I swear we all forgot about that phase of Celine Dion once the madness passed. It's like the sleeper agent song. No one thinks of it and then it drops at random on the radio or in a party mix and you're like, "Shoot this is kind of a bop".
When I heard about your description of that Kitchen Nightmares episode I had to pause and go watch it. It was one of the craziest episodes I've ever seen. 😂😂😂
It goes so hard. It has every classic Kitchen Nightmares element ratcheted up to 100 plus more besides.
I can't wait for the next episode of The Adventures of Bigfoot and the Teen Idol!
Oh here we go. Getting to the good stuff. A few things to note: ~Going forward from Whitney some Pokémon on Gym teams will have hold items. Teddiursa likely was holding a quick claw, or you were speed tied (using Flaafy) ~All the gyms have added and diversified the teams with Johto Pokémon. The level caps have also been raised to make it more balanced across the game. ~Ditto can sometimes be holding Bright Powder which gives a 10% evasion boost to the holding Pokémon. ~Check Togepi friendship. If it's close to 220-225 I'd suggest just running around with the Exp share slapped on it. Should evolve by the time you get to Ecruteak Gym.
I checked the change log; Supersonic was changed to 70% accuracy. So you're not going mental. Whenever you decide to fight the 3rd gym I'm excited to see how you do.
This game give me nostalgia
So fun fact: They patched HMs. You no longer need the move deleter. So if you'd teach any Pokémon an HM you can replace it later with another move. This can lead to some cheeky things like teaching Flash to your strength user, and then re-teaching it strength. For me it was Starmie juggling Flash/Surf/Waterfall. I will say, don't let it bother you about what's new to CL and what was base game. The encounter tables were adjusted really well to make the full dex possible. A lot of the swarm Pokémon had a base 1% encounter regardless of swarm, but swarm/call would push it up to near 30% or more. Excited to see you use Pineco/Foretress on the squad. You're gonna be soaking up damage between Tentacruel, Slowbro/king, and now Foretress. Welcome to the party StrongZero.
🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥
Getting a heracross now is the top priority
But what about the bug photographer gym leader from gen 6? She slays kinda My main issue with the Scarlet violet gyms was honestly that they didn't feel like actual gyms, like they were just buildings that happened to be used as gyms that day, except like maybe the psychic one, it just felt strange, I would have preferred an actual building as opposed to the clearing beside this random skyscraper
Yeah you're right, even the buildings themselves were completely slapdash. Compared to what we're used to with the Gym Leaders going all extra with their interior design.
That rival battle was such a train wreck lmao. As for what you were asking, Lure ball only has the bonus for fished Pokémon. The errors with the other balls were patched, so it's worth using all of them now. I'm not sure if grinding is necessary, but getting a little type coverage in the team would be good. You did get hard countered by that Bayleaf. If only there was a great fire type Pokémon on Route 36 (night time) you could have caught. 🤔
I honestly will probably never end up recording this at night *pain*
for you
yoU'Re a BiG guY (0_o)
Cool nice gameplay
Lol you call totodile bigfoot 😂 poor him
At night when you first started and you went to that one patch grass by Sudowoodo if it was night time you can get gas the which is very helpful sing with mareepv you can get him or her just after the first gym and it is a beast Justin Bieber evolution stone neither
Yes I'm going to leave an informative comment 😂 To answer your question: DVs are essentially what IVs were in Gen 2. If a Pokémon has 15DV that's like having 31-IV. Also, if note, Gen 2 uses Stat experience not EV. So think of it like there's a finite amount of exp for each stat a Pokémon can gain. Pokémon defeated give similar to EV stats. However it can be like 100Atk, 200Def, and 150Spd exp. Also I'm now realizing how far back you recorded these. The melting car convo was like 4 weeks ago :flopped:
Rage was one of those old Gen moves. The benefit of it over scratch at this stage is the small power boost from using it and taking hits. Good job so far rolling through with just your main Pokémon. Can't wait to see how the first rival battle goes. 🤔 As for the changes to CL you found one of them. The puzzles for Ruins of Alph give the fossils but you won't be able to revive them for a while. I do suggest looking in the grass during morning/night. A good chunk of the encounters are tied to the clock cycle. There is a better fire type Pokémon on Route 36 /night and you can still get Gastly in Sprout Tower /night like the base game.
As a self-confessed fossil maniac I support this change.
The Eternal discourse that the tierlist continues to cause
It will never be forgotten.
that alot eevee
In the cave next to lake at 36:33 you can find larvitor.
Thank you ^^
I will say that a good portion of the Johto Pokémon were given 10% and less encounters in the Johto half. Which is cool because it does make it a surprise when you do find one. If you see a Pokémon, and even before catching it you can get a detailed encounter info from the Pokedex. There are some things CL added to the base game. Mr.Pokemon doesn't normally give you the EXP share this early. It's gotten the same as in GS, by exchanging the red scale. CL decided an early one would be good for players who catch lower level Pokémon but want to try them out. It's also still available for the red scale exchange so you'll have 2 of them at your disposal post-lake of rage.
Imagine a world where I actually know the difference between what's new in Crystal Legacy and what's just been like that the whole time... (-_-)
There isn't a way to heal player heath, which was a huge complaint when the game released. However, upon looking there is a small help you could do. In the village near abouts where the merit point vendor is; is a small shrine and an old woman. For some cash you can buy various charms that increase health, take less damage, lower aggro etc. I never found this lady. Per the fight with Arceus, I don't blame you picking the continue option. I spent near an hour and some learning the patterns so I could do it all in one go with just the balms. Balms only is actually faster once you get the patterns down. Great end to a finale, can't wait to see what's next. Thanks a million!
!!! I actually know where she is. I think I bought some stupid think that wards off status conditions. I didn't know there's one that reduces damage taken. I learn something new about this game every day...
Only 39h a week 👀. I wish I had a work week that short. Im over here working 52s/wk 😩. The thought of being in the LP scene for so long almost seems like a fever dream. Before I left my channel 2 years ago, it was so weird thinking that I'd been making videos since 2009. The college to adult life pipeline really hits. I've made lots of friends in the LP world, but only a handful (yourself included) have been still there. I think the jump to twitch hit a lot of channels hard. The tight knit communities suddenly shifted to massive time gated communities. I rarely catch a NCS or JoshJepson steam. Liamsixx I see ever so often. But people like NorthernLion stream while I'm at work. Same with Patty/Pcull streaming while I'm asleep. So the LP format really is nice for when I get home from work. "Classic" LPs are a lost art. The few still around are carrying the torch.
Yeah I still like doing it just for myself. It's almost like diary-keeping for me. Tbh I would probably like to be able to stream more but I just don't have the ability to do it regularly.
I used the mudballs to dizzy her and that's how I started battles. Well, that's how I got all the "roaming" legends.
We just do what we can. She's a real jerk.
There is no "easy" way to start that fight. It was purely designed to be that difficult. Good looking with all those Eevee evolutions. The dex is almost done, we have one last Pokémon to catch and then it's off to the end.
It was actually a little crazy. You're lucky I cut so much out until I finally found something that worked.
Why is it so ugly
I have since discovered that it is not only ugly, it can turn into a tortoise...
When you flew right past the whisp at 7:40, and then "I'm gonna look for whisps". I swear these jokes write themselves.
They did make most of the Gen4 location Pokémon pretty easy. Any Coronet Pokémon hadn't been changed. Just go to Coronet highlands where the Probopass was. The one thing that was class was that the Eevee ones were able to use stones. There is a Moss and Icy rock in the game, but should the player not be able to find them an Ice/Grass stone could be used. Finding the evolution items is easiest in the Distortions. There was a solid few days I just farmed them for the razor claw. Weavile can be found in the distortions but it's pretty rare. 😂😂 The Alpha Garchomp encounter. Yeah they were not going easy with some or the alphas in the last area. Alpha Frosslass was up there too in the Lv70+
You said a lot of things I agree with in this episode but my main takeaway is that Sonic Heroes introduced many many people to earworm phrases that we can't stop saying
It's actually frightening. I can think of so many off the top of my head.
I will say you're right on the nose about gaming on YT now. The idea of a "Let's play" has drastically morphed in the last 5 years. I find that people who do blind games tend to have this similar kind of content still. As for commentary, you have for sure got the market on "90% rambling, 10% talking about the game." Which is a good change of pace. Plus, if you always talked about the game we wouldn't have all of the hilarious stories from your life experiences.
As for the discussion about the Mother series, I have to say that there's one game for anyone. I love Mother 3, and have probably replayed it more than Earthbound or Mother 1. I just love the charm of the game, the fantastic writing, the arcs for each segment of the game.
I should probably play it again. I remember I played it probably in like.... 2010? or something? So it's been a while. I remember finding it amazing. But I just think there's something indescribable about Mother 1 and Earthbound. Especially Mother 1 is just so.... understatedly bizarre.
That was the one you did see as a bird. Tornadus has a bird alt form. You'll see once you talk to Cogita and she gives you an item to have the alt forms. Just like with Dialga/Palkia/Giratina. Your reaction to "Complete the dex entries!?" had me rolling. Yes, complete them to Lv10. It'll take like 30m off screen to do it. Excited to see how you do with the last of the Incarnate forces of Hisui. ~rubs hands together~
Yeah it actually wasn't bad at all in the end. Couple of battles using the signature moves and you're good.
Losing the item packs has always been a sore spot for me with this game. Before my long hiatus I lost two packs and they never got picked up. Meanwhile I'm picking up everyone's packs I see. 🙃 The fish slow down has never clicked for me. As often as I tried to do it catching Pokémon I could never get it. I swear it's bugged tho because the ball throw arc is not straight. It throws where the Pokémon was, not where it is. So unless you're right on top of it, the balls miss. Absolutely stupid mechanic. I don't blame you never using it.
I really wish they'd made it a thing for Braviary as well. Because sorry but the flying Pokémon might as well not be there they're such an ass to catch even with the Wing Balls.
Listen if manifesting a husband worked for Come dine with me lady, then im giving it a go
I was telling my brother about her the other day with her deranged scribblings.
Noted about that T-Rex when I play FF12. On that topic, the Xenoblade series has named enemies that roam around the areas. Similar to the "Oh snap that's a way higher level than me". One of the classics that's in all the games is Territorial Rotbart. It's a Lv83 enemy just chilling in the first area where Lv10 enemies are more common. Got the 100 leeks!! 🎉 Seeing your quest log and knowing that this, of all of them you said you'd neglect happened to be completed. Makes me wonder if you're going to end up doing the Solitude quests or not.
The sidequests' fate was forever sealed by the Combee sidequest since I have never once seen one on that island with dozens of hours of playtime.
I'm sure you found it, but there is an alpha Gliscor around there. It's at the dead end of one of the path ways. I caught it immediately once I saw it and it's been one of the best members on my main squad. As for the Pokémon movies, I remember the 3rd movie being the last film in the cinema. Once the 4th one came out it was always on TV or direct to video. Which is a bummer because the Darkrai movie would have been amazing on the big screen.
